When I think of photos I've seen of palms trees, the ones that first come to mind are those that we've all probably seen thousands of times throughout our lives: a grove of palms set aside a sunny tropical beach and aqua green water, or palms silhouetted against a sunset. Palm trees are associated with paradise. Their form represents escape, freedom and relaxation. With the following series I attempted to break from the classic image of a palm tree. Yet still serene and majestic in this setting, the backdrop of a night sky inspires a revised interpretation of the palm tree.

Wedding Photography
I shot these photos at a wedding last summer in San Juan Capistrano. I really enjoyed the experience and I hope to photograph more weddings again in the future. So many different events occur within a wedding day--there's the ceremony, reception, dance, speeches, ect--and I found this provides a great opportunity to showcase photographic creativity and versatility. Below you'll find portraits and candids ranging the day's events. Also, you'll notice a couple photos repeated that vary slightly from each other...this is just to display a few of the numerous possible results of photo editing and the effect it can have on the image.
